Why choose and orthodontist?

When it comes to achieving your dream smile, selecting the right orthodontist is crucial. Orthodontists are specialized dental professionals who possess the expertise to diagnose, prevent, and treat dental and facial irregularities.

What sets orthodontists apart is their additional two to three years of specialized education beyond dental school, where they learn the precise techniques for aligning and straightening teeth. Only those who have completed this formal education can rightfully be called “orthodontists.” Furthermore, orthodontists are the exclusive members of the esteemed American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).

We are proud to have Dr. Nielson and Dr. Bingham at Advanced Orthodontics, who have achieved this specialized distinction and are active members of the AAO. With their extensive training and dedication to the field, they possess the knowledge and skills to help you achieve the smile you’ve always desired.

When should I bring my child to see an orthodontist

The American Association of Orthodontists suggests an orthodontic screening for children at the age of seven. By this stage, most children have several permanent teeth that have emerged, allowing us to assess their orthodontic needs effectively.

At this critical age, Dr. Nielson and Dr. Bingham can identify subtle issues related to jaw growth and emerging teeth, even while some baby teeth are still present. This early detection is crucial because certain orthodontic problems can be easier to correct if caught early on. Most patients typically start active treatment between the ages of 9 and 14.

By conducting an early orthodontic screening, we can ensure timely intervention and provide the most appropriate treatment plan for your child. Our goal is to address any concerns and help guide your child towards a healthy, beautiful smile.

Are orthodontics good for adults?

Orthodontic treatment can be successful at almost any age. In fact, over one in every four orthodontic patients today is over the age of 18.

Thanks to advancements in orthodontics, including smaller, less noticeable, and more comfortable appliances like metal braces, ceramic braces, and Invisalign, adults find orthodontic treatment increasingly appealing. These modern options provide adults with the flexibility and discretion they desire during their orthodontic journey.

Whether you’ve always wanted a straighter smile or have specific dental concerns, it’s never too late to explore the possibilities of adult orthodontics.

How long does orthodontic treatment take

If you’re in need of orthodontic treatment, you may expect a treatment duration of one to three years, depending on your specific case. The exact timeline can be determined through a complimentary consultation at our conveniently located offices in Aurora or Centennial.

During this free consultation, our experienced team will assess your unique orthodontic needs and discuss the best treatment options available to achieve your desired results. We understand that every patient is different, and we are committed to providing personalized care tailored to your specific situation.

How much does treatment cost?

When it comes to the cost of orthodontic treatment, several factors come into play. The severity and complexity of the orthodontic problem, along with the duration of treatment, are key considerations.

At our practice, Dr. Bingham and Dr. Nielson understand the importance of transparency when it comes to discussing the cost of treatment. They will be more than happy to have a detailed conversation with you, addressing any concerns and exploring the various financing options available before your treatment begins.

The good news is that braces are now more affordable than ever before. Our dedicated staff works closely with insurance companies to maximize your benefits and minimize out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, we offer flexible payment plans designed to accommodate your family’s budget and financial needs.
